#55

So how many people have got a photo pile as big as their patterned paper pile? Yeah – that’s what we thought! So the challenge we have set this week is to create a Multi Photo layout. Quite a few of us veer towards single photo pages so this week has taken some of us - and hopefully some of you - out of our little comfort zone.Remember, we would love you to link in to our comments so we can see how the challenge has inspired you this week.

The lavish use of.......... pick an item and just go overboard with it; this is a great way to make a dent in your stash mountain. Below are just a few ideas to get your brain ticking, but the possibilities are endless.

We hope you're inspired to play along, and remember to link to your creation in the comments box as we love to see what you come up with.

I can see clearly..... have you tried transparent art? do you love using transparencies on your pages? what about a scrapbook page with a completely transparent background? Our challenge this week is to use something transparent - use a jar to make a little scene for your windowsill, make some see through atc's - use your imagination and have some fun with something 'transparent'

As usual the girls have come up with a varied selection of examples to inspire you.

We would like to thank everyone who joins in the dares and visits each week for inspiration - whether you found us just last week or have been with us since the very start - we hope we have helped with the dreaded block, given you some ideas for different LO's and altered items, and we promise there's many more to come. We have a new blog address (dont forget to update your rss feeds if you subscribe to us), and a new name to sail under in the new challenging year to come. As a little thank you to all - check out the NSD give-away we have running this weekend in the previous post below :o)

and now #52.....

52 weeks of dares - 52 challenges - and its come full circle back to 5th May and ready to start all over again. There is nothing in life and simple as or as perfect as the circle.

This week we challenged ourselves to use a circle, or the word/concept of a circle, or a photo of something circular - whatever! as long as there's a 'circle'!

Happy Birthday!!

On 5th May 2006 the dares began on a little private forum, after a few weeks of people asking to join in - we moved to a public blog. Members of the team have come and gone, the team has expanded to over twice the number of original members, there have been many ideas and themes - and we are still going strong. There are a whole years worth of images and challenges in our archives - lots of inspiration and ideas. Take a look at our very first challenge from 5th may 2006.

As well as our birthday, it's also National Scrapbooking Day tomorrow, and we are marking these 2 occasions with an exciting give away! The very talented Cheryl Johnson is about to launch a fabulous 10 week online photography course - sign ups for this have just closed, but we have one place on the course up for grabs for you here! Added to that we also have a 1 month subscription to The Design Collective. To enter the give away please leave a comment on this post including your name and somewhere you can be contacted if you should be the lucky winner (a blog link or email address please) Last entry for the prize will be Sunday 6th may at 6pm BST - the draw will be made on Sunday evening, the winner will be contacted as soon as possible and the result posted here.

Good luck!!
