# 64 Postcards

As summer draws to a close we invite you to show us your 'Postcards'.

Postcards have been used in the UK since first introduced by the Post Office in 1870. The original postcards were plain with a pre paid stamp. On the 1st September 1894 the Post Office allowed the use of postcards published by others to be used with an adhesive halfpenny stamps. Several publishers produced cards but the first to include pictures on their postcards is believed to have been George Stewart of Edinburgh. Since then postcards have always been a popular way to send a note home from a trip away.

Here are some of the teams postcard inspired layouts.
